• The streamlined aerodynamic design includes collarbone recesses on each side, equipped with two PLASMA inserts that provide high shock absorption and reduce the risk of injury in the event of a fall
• Designed for exceptional visibility, the S-R7 offers a 220° field of vision and 57° vertical vision, enhanced by an optimized eye opening and head position
• The inner shell features a multi-density EPS liner consisting of seven pieces in six densities, strategically positioned for optimal impact absorption. The EPS liner has been developed with a unique dimension specific to each helmet size and fits the three different outer shell sizes
• The EPS surface is flush and features Alpinestars' patented coating, designed for proven protection against rotational impacts. This low-friction sliding surface mimics the natural cerebrospinal fluid—the body's own defense against oblique impacts. By reducing the rotational acceleration of the brain within the skull during an impact, this technology helps to reduce the risk of concussion and other brain injuries. Construction

• The S-R7 helmet offers extremely low drag and exceptional stability at high speeds, reducing strain on the neck
• Its aerodynamically optimized shell features an integrated spoiler that minimizes turbulence and drag, while side winglets further improve stability and reduce drag
• The S-R7 is designed with a total of 10 vents for optimal airflow: 6 inlet vents (3 in the chin guard and 3 on top of the head), which are regulated by a sliding ventilation mechanism, and 4 outlet vents (2 side vents on the chin guard and 2 on the back of the helmet)
• The air flowing in through the chin vents is directed to the inside of the visor, effectively preventing fogging and misting
• The entire upper ventilation area is sliding, allowing the rider to expose three air channels for maximum air circulation and cooling performance
• The ventilation openings on the chin bar serve to efficiently remove moist air from inside the helmet
• The S-R7 features Alpinestars' unique and patented A-Head adjustment system, which allows the rider to fine-tune both the height and angle at which the helmet sits on the head. A micro-adjustable pad connected to the helmet's inner EPS liner allows for extremely precise adjustment that adapts to how deep the rider's head sits in the helmet and how far forward or backward it is tilted, ensuring the ultimate custom fit

Visor

• The visor can be quickly replaced or removed using a secure, tool-free quick-release system that allows a swivel movement to ensure a complete seal against the helmet's rubber gasket

Multi-Composite Shell

The helmet shell features a dedicated collarbone recess that works in conjunction with integrated NUCLEON PLASMA inserts to deliver high-performance shock absorption, minimizing shell-to-body contact and reducing the risk of collarbone injuries.

PLASMA Inside

PLASMA Inside is a patented impact technology developed by Alpinestars. Special energy-absorbing elements are integrated into safety-critical areas of the helmet – in the S-M7, primarily in the lower shell area near the collarbone. The aim is to absorb and redirect impact energy in a controlled manner before it affects the body.

Pre-Preg composite construction

“Pre-Preg” stands for pre-impregnated fibers. The fibers (e.g., carbon, aramid, glass fiber) are precisely impregnated with resin before processing. This allows the fiber orientation, resin content, and wall thickness to be controlled very precisely. The result: higher strength, uniform structure, and less weight compared to classic laminate processes.

Optimized Shell Design

Aerodynamic Features

• Spoiler: The whole aerodynamic shape of the helmet, with its design integrated Spoiler, guarantees an effective drag reduction performance

A-Head Fit System

Ventilation Ports

The S-R7 is optimized for airflow with a total of 10 ventilation ports: 6 intake ports (3 in the chin guard and 3 on top of the head) regulated by a slidable top vent mechanism, plus 4 exhaust ports (2 lateral ports on the chin bar and 2 at the rear of the helmet).

The incoming air from the chin vents is chanted towards the inner side of the shield, effectively preventing fogging and misting.

The entire top vent section is slidable, allowing riders to reveal three air channels for maximum airflow and cooling performance.

Chin Bar Extractor Vents are designed to efficiently extract humid air from inside the helmet.
