The S-M7 helmet was developed for off-road racing and is optimized to offer the perfect blend of excellent ventilation and comfort in a lightweight helmet, while its highly aerodynamic composite shell provides exceptional impact protection. In addition to Alpinestars' patented A-Head Fitment and Peak Detaching System, the S-M7 features innovative PLASMA technology on the underside of the shell edge, which provides optimal energy dissipation in the event of an impact in the collarbone area.

Shell

Comfort

PLASMA Inside

PLASMA Inside is a patented impact technology developed by Alpinestars. Special energy-absorbing elements are integrated into safety-critical areas of the helmet – in the S-M7, primarily in the lower shell area near the collarbone. The aim is to absorb and redirect impact energy in a controlled manner before it affects the body.

Pre-Preg composite construction

“Pre-Preg” stands for pre-impregnated fibers. The fibers (e.g., carbon, aramid, glass fiber) are precisely impregnated with resin before processing. This allows the fiber orientation, resin content, and wall thickness to be controlled very precisely. The result: higher strength, uniform structure, and lower weight compared to traditional laminate processes.

A-Head Fit System

The A-Head Fit System is a patented adjustment system that allows the seat height and angle of the helmet to be individually adjusted. Unlike classic padding solutions, it changes the position of the helmet relative to the head. This not only improves comfort, but also the protective effect, as the helmet sits correctly in the optimal effective range.

Eject Removal System

The Eject Removal System is an emergency solution for rescue workers. A special inflatable insert inside the helmet allows the helmet to be removed from the rider's head in a controlled manner without unnecessary movement of the head or neck. This reduces the risk of additional injuries when removing the helmet after an accident.
