What sets FIVE apart?

FIVE’s greatest distinguishing feature lies in its consistent specialization. A motorcycle glove is more technically complex than it initially appears. The hand consists of numerous movable joints, bones, tendons, and muscles. At the same time, while riding, it must be able to precisely control the throttle, brake, clutch, and other controls.

What does FIVE stand for?

FIVE summarizes its brand philosophy in three terms: Protection, Fit, and Design.

Protection refers to the protection of the hands. Especially during a fall, people often instinctively put their hands out. This puts the palms, knuckles, and fingers at particular risk. Protectors, abrasion-resistant materials, reinforcements, and palm sliders are therefore among the most important components of many FIVE gloves.

Brand Development – From Founding to Today

FIVE is one of the relatively young specialty brands for motorcycle gear. Since the mid-2000s, the company has evolved from a French glove manufacturer into a brand with international distribution. The year 2005 is cited as its founding year. FIVE itself now looks back on nearly two decades of experience.

Throughout this time, its focus has remained clearly defined: technical gloves for use on two wheels.

FIVE originated in France and was founded in 2005. Franck Fazio is considered the founder. From the very beginning, the brand consistently focused on motorcycle gloves and technical hand protection solutions. There is no publicly documented specific first production model. Rather, the decisive factor was the early specialization in high-quality gloves for various applications.

Today, FIVE is headquartered in Avignon, France, and supplements its development efforts with technical expertise from Italy as well as international production partners.
