HydroFlex membrane

The HydroFlex membrane is a special waterproof and breathable layer that is integrated into motorcycle jackets to provide optimal protection against rain and moisture. The specification ‘10,000 mm water column’ describes the waterproofness of the material and indicates the water pressure that the membrane can withstand before water penetrates.

What does 10,000 mm water column mean?

The water column is measured in millimetres and indicates how much pressure a material surface can withstand before water penetrates. A 10,000 mm water column means that the material can withstand a water column of 10 metres in height before moisture penetrates the fabric.
