Alpinestars Supertech Dual Pane, replacement double lens

The ventilated Supertech Double Pane lenses are specially designed to ensure air circulation within the goggles and reduce condensation to a minimum. The outer lens is made of high-quality, impact-resistant, injection-molded polycarbonate material. The injection-molded lens ensures virtually no visual distortion. An additional polycarbonate inner lens is sealed to the outer lens with a neoprene layer. Strategically placed ventilation holes on the top and sides allow for ample airflow.

Dual Pane

In motocross or off-road goggles, dual pane means that the lens consists of two separate panes — similar to an insulated window.

Advantages of dual pane in motocross goggles

Anti-fog effect – the layer of air between the two panes acts as insulation and prevents the lens from fogging up from the inside – especially when sweating heavily or in changing temperatures.

Better temperature stability – ideal for cold or damp conditions because the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the visor is better balanced.

Increased protection – the double lens makes the glasses more stable overall and provides better protection against stone chips, branches, or dirt.
