Macna Revel RTX, gloves waterproof

Maintain your stylish, casual look on and off bike with the Revel: a waterproof and insulated glove with discreet, soft protection at knuckles and palm.

The Revel is equipped with a waterproof Raintex membrane and made of softshell fabric that provides resistance against rain and wind, breathability, and no breaking-in. Its palm is made of synthetic nubuck and reinforced with another layer to ensure a high level of abrasion resistance. This glove is lined with silky soft Bemberg for comfort and insulated to retain warmth. It has a long cuff and touchscreens can be operated thanks to the heat-conductive fabric at the tip of the thumb and index finger.

Knuckles are guarded by soft EVA padding that provides impact absorption. The palm is fitted with a solid, impact-absorbing, and abrasion-resistant R.I.S.C.™ protector made of TPU, and finished with a grip print for improved control at the handlebars.

Synthetic Nubuck

Brushed synthetic leather which is soft, flexible, breathable and has the look of real suede.

Bemberg™

An artificial textile fiber obtained from natural materials, including cellulose from a variety of botanical sources, and featuring a silky texture, used as a lining inside gloves in order to offer a pleasant and comfortable contact zone.

Raintex

Much of Macna’s gear is fitted with a waterproof Raintex membrane that prevents rainwater from penetrating whilst enabling vapor drops to make their way through. These membranes keep you free from both sweat and rainwater.

Raintex membranes are incorporated into Macna’s waterproof garments in different ways. Some feature a fixed membrane and others are fitted with a detachable one. There are also jackets with a waterproof liner, which means the waterproof membrane and thermal liner are combined to create a single layer.

Touch Tip

Touch screens dominate the modern day and age. Smartphones, tablets, and even more important for us motorcyclists: navigation systems. It is nice those screens work by touch, but that’s not really helpful when you’re wearing gloves.

That’s why Maca opts for heat-conductive fabric at the tips of the index fingers. These special Touch Tips enable the warmth of your finger to find its way through so that you can operate touch screens without having to take off your gloves.

EVA Protection

R.I.S.C. EVA protection consists of rubber foam underneath the outer shell. Protection with EVA padding is flexible and resilient as it recovers quickly from compression.

EVA foam excels in absorbing vibrations and impact forces. It is also characterized by its good thermal insulation as well as low water-absorption. 

Other advantages are its softness, non-toxicity, stress-crack resistance and resistance to ultraviolet radiation which makes EVA suitable for many purposes.
