AFD (Alpinestars Force Deflector)

AFD refers to a construction developed by Alpinestars for the targeted deflection of impact and friction forces.

Special material zones and panel layouts ensure that forces are not absorbed at specific points, but are distributed across the surface and deflected sideways. This reduces peak loads in the event of a fall and at the same time improves freedom of movement and stability while riding.

AFD is used in the Supertech series as part of the high-performance approach for motocross and racing applications.
