Macna Notch, textile jacket waterproof

Styled for enduro and similar adventures, but also suitable for the road in all riding conditions with Macna's brand-new IN&OUT™ membrane to keep you dry.

The Notch is fitted with Macna's IN&OUT™ jacket, which is a detachable, waterproof, and insulated liner that can be worn inside the jacket, as rain shell over the jacket or separately as stand-alone garment. This makes it less complicated and more versatile than a 3-layer jacket.

Air vents are present at the chest and sleeves and an air outlet is fitted at the back. On that same side Macna opted for a Hydro Pocket, Coat Hanger™, and a compartment in which the separately available Vision 2C LED light can be placed.

To raise your comfort some more, Macna added a Zip Grip™ to make zipping up with gloves easier. The inner pocket is fitted with a Quick Access Puller™ and like on all Macna's jackets, Easy Cuff™ is present at the wrists. This small zip (instead of loops and snaps) connects the inner layers of your jacket and prevents loose, floating layers.

On the inside, Macna fitted their Electric Power Guide™. This EPG is a system of loops that lets you comfortably run cables through your sleeves to power your gloves when connected to a battery in your pocket or the battery of your motorcycle.   

Macna's RISC™ Level 1 impact protectors are present at the shoulders and elbows. RISC™ back and chest protectors are separately available and can be placed in the designated compartment with ease. Be sure to check the size table before purchasing a back protector.

Ripstop

Strong fabric with a fine squared pattern texture with reinforced yarns that makes the material stronger and very resistant to tearing. Different variants of ripstop are used in Macna’s riding gear, depending on the style and intended use of the garment.

Micro Mesh

Strong polyester mesh with a fine knitted structure which provides ventilation and gives an unique appearance.

Fybrex

Polyester 500D fabric with high density that is durable, strong and abrasion-resistant.

Dynamic Stretch

Strong and durable double-weave fabric with Aramid yarns. The fabric has 4-way stretch for ease, comfort and a good fit. The fabric is coated, which makes it windproof and water-resistant.

Zip Grip™

Zipping up without gloves isn’t always a success at first try. Inserting one part into another turns out to be surprisingly difficult for the most intelligent species on the planet. Some of us even try this sport with their gloves on – with little success in most cases.

Macna’s Zip Grip™ is a triangular reinforcement at the base of the main zip. This reinforcement is easy to get a hold of and provides the needed grip when inserting. Zipping up has just become child’s play, even with gloves on!

Hydro Pocket

During active rides, such as adventurous tours or full off-road days, you need to stay hydrated – if possible, without stops or dangerous acts. Inspired by the Hydration Port in the Aeroback™ hump of Macna’s leather racing suits, they developed an off-track variant.

At the back of certain pieces of gear, Macna fitted a Hydro Pocket that enables you to place a hydration bladder inside. The nozzle of the bladder can be lead over the left or right shoulder, which ever works best for you.

Easy Cuff™

Loops and snaps that are supposed to neatly connect the separate layers of a jacket or pants. We all know how well that works; it doesn’t. Chances of your watch or foot getting stuck are ten times higher than of you actually putting on the garment without issues.

Make this issue a complaint of the past with Macna’s Easy Cuff™, a zip construction at the cuff that keeps the layers fixed and ensures a nice and tidy sleeve. The zip is located at the outside of the cuff, making it easily accessible when needed.

Quick Access Puller™

The inner pocket of your motorcycle jacket usually holds important objects, such as your wallet or mobile phone. They’re secured safely by the most isolated pocket in your jacket, though they’re also not quickly accessible.

Enter Macna’s Quick Access Puller™: an extended cord that’s attached to the bottom and the runner of the zip. This enables you to open the inner pocket swiftly and gain access to its contents, without having to fumble for the runner when you’re wearing gloves.

Electric Power Guide™

EPG allows you to run power cables trough the inside of your jacket, offering you full movement and no bulk at the wrists. EPG prepared jackets feature loops to easily guide the power cable through the sleeves. With many battery options to choose from, there’s a solution for everybody.

Coat Hanger™

A motorcycle jacket often weighs (a lot) more than a regular jacket. You might notice it when wearing one, and maybe even more when taking it off and carrying it by the ‘coat hanger’ at the neck – which is often just a textile loop that eventually snaps due to the weight of your motorcycle jacket.

Macna’s Coat Hanger™ is specifically designed to carry the weight of your motorcycle jacket. This strong and durable handle is found at the neck, though they chose to place it on the outside to enable the jacket to dry and air better when stored on, for example, a coat rack.

Vision 2C LED light prepared

Visibility boost in the form of a secondary tail light, fixed high upon your back.

R.I.S.C.™ Protectors

A garment can be fitted with Level 1 or Level 2 protectors, depending on which segment you’re going for. Level 2 protectors are thicker and heavier than Level 1, but in turn they provide better protection. Both levels of RISC protectors are interchangeable and separately available, so you can easily scale down or up if you’d like to.

R.I.S.C.™ Back Protector

You won’t find chest and back protectors in Macna’s garments – with exception of protective jackets such as the Korus and Whizzar – but they are separately available should you fancy extra protection. R.I.S.C.™ Chest Protector

This unique protector is only available in Level 1 and consists of two separate pieces that automatically interlock after placing them in the designated compartments of your Macna jacket and zipping up.
