SPEEDSTAR 2 is the new Suomy full-face helmet with elegant, dynamic and high-performance shapes, the unmistakable Suomy imprinting, designed and developed in Italy with the most advanced digital technologies, tested in the wind tunnel and on the road to give the best dynamic performance in the ride.

The shell, in 2 sizes, is made with a new layer of carbon, aramid and glass fibers specifically designed for E2206 approval. The Hydrocool interiors are produced with the best technologies to guarantee reliability, comfort and safety.

The typical performances of the racing world meet the tourist-sports ones to give an aerodynamic, versatile, comfortable helmet with technical solutions suitable for any type of road.

Shell

The shell is made of TRICOMPOSITE fiber, a new composite that allows to obtain a lighter, but at the same time a harder and more protective shell.

The new composite is a mixture of carbon with different weight/breaking loads linked up with fiberglass and aramidic fibers that ensure a lighter, but much more resistant-to-impacts shell, as ECE 22.06 normative requests.

To satisfy even the most exigent customers, Speedstar 2 is produced in two different shells: M and L.

Protective Polystyrene

Internal polystyrene liner is realized in four sizes (S, M, L and XL) to obtain a better ergonomics and a variable density. This characteristic allows a gradual and progressive absorption of the power produced by the impact. Even if the bigger part of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the external shell, thanks to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is crucial for the absorption of the residual power.

Visor

The visor is PC injected, antiscratch, with variable thickness. It is easy to remove thanks to a system that doesn’t require the use of any tool. The release lever is made of a particular light metal alloy that gives greater solidity to the assembly. The visor is also equipped with a locking mechanism “Racing Lock System” (PAT PEND) in light metal alloy. The mechanism reduces the possibility of detachment in case of crash and makes the system more intuitive.

Sun shield

Speedstar 2 is equipped with a wide internal sun visor, with cable technology that ensures fluid movement through a button located on the edge of the shell that can be easily operated with the left hand.

Antifog system

Speedstar 2 is equipped with PINLOCK® MAX VISION 120, the most performing antifog system in the market.

Ventilation

It is during the hottest and most demanding journeys that maximum performance is required from the helmet, being able to count on an efficient ventilation system makes is crucial by maintaining the rider’s focus at high levels.

Speedstar 2 features four air intake ducts that work in conjunction with a seamlessly integrated extraction channel system, ensuring excellent airflow within the helmet. The extraction of hot air is carefully studied; two embedded air extractors, together with the rear spoiler, create a Venturi effect by sucking in the hot internal air.

Interior

The cheek pads and the internal comfort can be removed, washed and replaced. They are made of precious Hydrocool fabric with specific fibers that offer the following features:

• Send away sweat from the head
• Keep fresh and dry
• Light fabric, soft and breathable

Cheek pads are customizable and easily removable in case of emergency thanks to the quick release system.

Retention System

The chin is provided with micrometric buckle retention system enabling an easy release of the retain system.
