Humax® Membrane

Humax® Membrane is a special waterproof and breathable protective layer used in motorcycle clothing to protect riders from wetness and wind. With a water column of 10,000 mm, it offers a high level of protection against water penetration. The water column indicates the pressure that the membrane can withstand before water penetrates the material – 10,000 mm corresponds to the pressure of a ten-metre-high water column.

Thanks to its breathable structure, water vapour (e.g. sweat) can escape from the inside out, while water droplets from the outside cannot penetrate. This ensures a comfortable body climate, even during intense physical activity or changing weather conditions.

The versatility of the removable construction makes it possible to use or remove the membrane flexibly depending on the weather conditions. On dry, warm days, removing the membrane allows for better ventilation, while it can be quickly put back in place in rainy or cool conditions to provide optimal protection.
