Macna Confold™ - jacket converts into backpack

Chase freedom as you carve your way through city traffic with enhanced freedom of movement of the Distec: a hoodie with Macna's patented Confold™ construction that makes it convertible into a backpack.

The Distec hoodie is designed for good weather and made of Macna's brand-new Armour Stretch™ fabric, enabling you to move around as much as you need to. Its hood is detachable, but you can also secure it in the Hood Holder™ at the back if you like to be prepared for rain after parking. Both choices prevent the hood from flapping around, just like the Hood String Holders™ at the front secure its strings.

This hoodie is one of a kind because of Macna's patented Confold™ construction that enables you to turn it into a functional backpack so you got your hands free after parking. The backpack is fitted with a Helmet Loop™ to which you can attach your helmet, and it provides enough space for your gloves and essentials.

At the back, Macna fitted the Belt Loop™ that enables you to connect the hoodie to the belt of your jeans. Its wrists are equipped with Thumb Loops to prevent the sleeves from creeping up, and the Card Pocket on the lower left arm can be used to store your ID, bank card, or other means of payment or identification. The Zip Grip™ at the bottom of the main zip makes it easy to insert and close when you’re wearing gloves.

The Distec is equipped with certified (level 1) R.I.S.C.™ protectors at the elbows and shoulders. On the outside of the shoulders, Macna opted for additional R.I.S.C.™ caps that are flexible. A R.I.S.C.™ back protector is separately available and easily placed in the designated compartment.

Hoodie Holder™

If you’re a rider that prefers casually styled riding gear, you might be familiar with your hood catching wind. Being slowed down is annoying enough as it is, not to mention your hood flapping around like a madman.

Prevent your hood from turning into a parachute by using the Hoodie Holder™. Slide the button at the tip of the hood into the Hoodie Holder™ and enjoy a flap-free ride whilst the hood is kept in place.

Hoodie String Holder™

There are few things more annoying than your hood flapping around – except for its strings dropping a drum solo on your helmet. Since Macna already has the Hoodie Holder™ and you’re probably not part of a travelling band: let’s secure those drumsticks.

At the center of the chest, right next to the main zip, you might find two textile loops. These are the Hoodie String Holders™, in which – you guessed it – the strings of your hood can be secured to prevent them from moving around.

Confold™

Patented construction of a jacket that enables it to be converted into a backpack so it doesn't have to be carried by hand when off-bike. The backpack provides enough space for a helmet, gloves, and more.

All protectors can remain in the jacket, and there’s enough space for some extra stuff. Attach your helmet to the Helmet Loop™ inside the backpack, toss in your gloves, and enjoy a complete hands-free experience off-bike.

Macna's patented Confold™ construction enables you to turn your jacket into a fully functional backpack. It is fitted with a Helmet Loop™ to which you can attach your helmet, and it provides enough space for your gloves and other belongings in addition to your protective headgear.

Converting the jacket into a backpack is done in 3 simple steps:

• Lay the jacket with its back on the seat of your motorcycle and open the main zip. This will reveal another zip on the inside at the back that needs to be unzipped as well.
• Fold the jacket inside-out, through the opening we’ve just created by unzipping the inner zip. When done correctly, the shoulder straps have come out and are ready to use.
• Toss your belongings in the backpack, attach your helmet to the Helmet Loop™, zip up, and you’ll have a complete hands-free experience after parking your motorcycle.

Zip Grip™

Zipping up without gloves isn’t always a success at first try. Inserting one part into another turns out to be surprisingly difficult for the most intelligent species on the planet. Some of us even try this sport with their gloves on – with little success in most cases.

Macna’s Zip Grip™ is a triangular reinforcement at the base of the main zip. This reinforcement is easy to get a hold of and provides the needed grip when inserting. Zipping up has just become child’s play, even with gloves on!

Belt Loop™

Wearing jeans on a sports- or naked bike can get a bit chilly when your jacket decides to creep up on you. Being cold is one thing, getting hurt is another. In case of an incident, you might end up on your back without your jacket covering it.

Raise your comfort and safety with Macna’s Belt Loop™. It is made of strong webbing that is secured at the top of the back and runs all the way down your jacket, where you can connect it to your belt. The Belt Loop™ keeps your jacket in place, prevents a cold back, and raises your safety in case of an incident.

R.I.S.C.™ Back Protector

You won’t find chest and back protectors in Macna’s garments – with exception of protective jackets such as the Korus and Whizzar – but they are separately available should you fancy extra protection. R.I.S.C.™ Protectors

A garment can be fitted with Level 1 or Level 2 protectors, depending on which segment you’re going for. Level 2 protectors are thicker and heavier than Level 1, but in turn they provide better protection. Both levels of RISC protectors are interchangeable and separately available, so you can easily scale down or up if you’d like to.
