The boots are fantastic and add just enough height to make riding easier and safer.

I\'ve used Daytona gore tex boots for years, my last pair eventually wore out after a re-soleing and years of use. These are shorter, as I mainly commute now, and I thought I\'d try the Max version as I have short legs. They are a bit odd walking about, but not an issue. The extra height on the sole is quite nice but I was used to sliding sideways anyway. The slight down-side to the thicker sole is that you need to push your toes down more to engage the gear shift lever for up-shifts, and sometimes I miss the gear change. Also the legs sit slightly higher, with more knee bend thanks to the thicker sole. Both issues are minor and I\'m getting used to them. Very high quality materials and construction. Just be aware, thanks to Brexit, if ordering from the UK you will pay almost £70 extra for the privilege...
