I\'ve bought 3 Carhartt jackets this year, rated 2, 3 and 4 for warmth. This one is rated 2 and is quite well insulated, very comfortable in weather down to 7-10c. The collar is great for giving a wind break around the neck. I have worn this hiking and it\'s perfect, not waterproof but it doesn\'t soak through easily. As with all Carhartt jackets, it\'s incredibly well made and feels like great quality, I bought black but may add the other colour next time it\'s on sale.
