SIXS wanted the comfort of the product to be equal to that of the other products in the SIXS catalog. For this reason, SIXS decided to put polypropylene inside in direct contact with the skin and keep the wool (merino) (known to be a bit rougher and bristlier than other yarns) outside.
Wool has thermoregulation properties superior to all other natural fibers and acts as a barrier against cold.
