De D3O® beschermers zijn gemaakt van slim schokabsorberend materiaal dat moleculen bevat die onder normale omstandigheden vrij stromen. De beschermers zijn zacht en flexibel en hebben een perfecte pasvorm op het lichaam.

Maar bij een schok grijpen de moleculen in elkaar om een uitstekende schokabsorptie te bieden. Het hele proces gebeurt in een oogwenk, waarna de beschermers hun oorspronkelijke vorm terugkrijgen en opnieuw kunnen worden gebruikt zonder ook maar iets van hun eigenschappen te verliezen. Een geheime agenda is zeker niet de bedoeling, hoewel het undercover gehalte hoog is.
