We protect your personal data using the latest security and encryption procedures.

§ 1 Access data and hosting

You can visit our websites without giving any personal information. Each time a web page is called up, the web server merely automatically stores a so-called server log file which contains, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, date and time of retrieval, transferred data volume and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the retrieval.

These access data are evaluated exclusively for the purpose of ensuring a trouble-free use of the site as well as the improvement of our offer. This serves in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR the preservation of our legitimate interests, which predominate in the context of a weighing up of interests, in a correct presentation of our offer. All access data is stored until automated deletion.

Hosting services by a third party

In the course of a processing on our behalf, a third party provider renders the services for hosting and displaying the website. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests, which are predominantly justified in the interests of weighing up our interests, in order to correctly present our offer. All data collected as part of the use of this website or in designated forms in the online shop as described below will be processed on its servers. Processing on other servers takes place only in the frame explained here.

This service provider is located within a country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Data security

In order to optimally protect your personal data, we use the latest encryption methods: During the ordering process as well as in the "My Account" section, all personal data is encrypted before it leaves your device (eg PC, laptop) for transmission on the Internet.

For this we use the secure "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) method, which is a proven and very secure data transfer method on the Internet. Your information is therefore not visible to outsiders.

§ 2 Data collection

We collect personal data from the first time you contact us, if you voluntarily provide us with your data by phone, contact form, e-mail or when opening a customer account. Mandatory fields in online forms are marked as such, since in these cases we need the data for contract execution, or to process your contact or opening the customer account and because otherwise you cannot complete the order, open the account or send a request. Which data are collected, can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data given by you in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR for contract handling and processing of your inquiries. After completion of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after expiry of the tax and commercial retention periods, unless you have expressly consented to a further use of your data or we reserve the right to further data use, which is legally permitted and declared in this privacy statement. The deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be done either by a message to the contact option described below or via a designated function in the customer account.

§ 3 Data transfer

For the performance of the contract according to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR we pass on your data to the shipping company responsible for the delivery, as far as this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods. Depending on which payment service provider you select in the order process, we will forward payment data collected to the credit institution commissioned with the payment and any payment service providers commissioned by us to process the payments or to the selected payment service. The selected payment service providers also collect this data themselves to some extent, provided that you create an account there. In this case, you must log in to the payment service provider with your access data during the ordering process. In this respect, the privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies.

§ 4 Newsletter

E-mail advertising with registration for the newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will use the data required or separately provided by you to regularly send you our e-mail newsletter based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. GDPR.

The unsubscription from the newsletter is possible at any time and can be done either by a message to the contact option described below or via a dedicated link in the newsletter. After unsubscription we delete your e-mail address, as far as you have not expressly consented to a further use of your data or we reserve the right to further data use, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in this statement.

E-mail advertising without registration for the newsletter and your right to object

If we receive your e-mail address within a successful order process or service and without your objection, we reserve the right, on the basis of AAUC § 7 (3) to regularly send offers for similar products, such as the already purchased from our assortment. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests, which are predominant in the context of a weighing up of interests, in a promotional approach by our customers.
You may object to this use of your e-mail address at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or through a dedicated link in the e-mail message, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

To view our reviews collected with Trusted Shops, the Trusted Shops Trust Badge is included on this website.

The Trustbadge and the services advertised are an offer of Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Köln (Cologne).
When the Trustbadge is accessed, the web server automatically saves a so-called server log file, which contains, for example, your IP address, date and time of the call, amount of data transmitted and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the call. These access data will not be evaluated and automatically overwritten within seven days after the end of your page visit.
Other personal data will only be transferred to Trusted Shops, as far as you have consented to the use of Trusted Shops products or have already registered for use. In this case, the contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops applies.

§ 6 Cookies and web analysis

For the purpose of advertising, market research or the needs-based design of our offers, we create pseudonymised usage profiles using usage data. In particular, usage data includes information about the beginning and end as well as about the extent of the respective use of our pages and offers by the buyer. The usage profiles are not merged with your personal data. You are entitled to object to this type of use of your usage data. Send your request for example to: dataprotection@motoin.de.

In order to make the visit to our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, to display suitable products or for market research, we use so-called cookies on various pages. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests, which predominate in the context of a weighing up of interests, in order to optimize the presentation of our offer in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, ie after closing your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). The duration of the storage can be found in the overview in the cookie settings of your web browser. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and individually decide on their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general. Failure to accept cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics for web analytics

For website analysis, this website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (www.google.com). This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests, which predominate in the context of a weighing up of interests, in order to optimize the presentation of our offer in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that allow you to analyze the use of the website, such as cookies. The automatically collected information about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. By activating IP anonymisation on this website, the IP address will be shortened prior to transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. The anonymized IP address provided by Google Analytics within the framework of Google Analytics will generally not be merged with other data provided by Google. After purpose and end of the use of Google Analytics by us, the data collected in this context will be deleted.

§ 7 Advertising via marketing networks

Google AdWords Remarketing

We promote this site via Google Adwords on Google's search results and on third-party websites. For this purpose, when visiting our website, the so-called Remarketing cookie is set by Google, which automatically allows using a pseudonymous CookieID and enables an interest-based advertising based on the pages you visit. This serves to safeguard our legitimate interests, which predominate in the context of a weighing up of interests, in the optimal marketing of our website in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. After the expiration and end of the use of Google AdWords Remarketing by us, the data collected in this context will be deleted.

Additional processing will only take place if you have agreed with Google that your web and app browsing history will be linked to your Google Account by Google so that information from your Google Account will be used to personalize your ads which you see on the web. In this case, when you log in to Google during the page visit of our website, Google uses your data with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. To do this, Google will temporarily associate your personal information with Google Analytics data to create audiences.

Google AdWords Remarketing is an offer from Google LLC (www.google.com). Google LLC is headquartered in the US and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate can be viewed here. Under the agreement between the US and the European Commission, the latter has established an appropriate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.

You can disable the remarketing cookie through this link. In addition, you can inform yourself about the setting of cookies and make adjustments to the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Opjection to data collection

If you have a Google Account, you can disable personalized ad serving in your Google's Ads Preferences Manager. This setting applies to the entire Google Display Network. More information can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/intl/en/take-control.html

Without a Google Account, it is possible to install a browser plug-in to disable Google's personalized ad serving: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7395996

Please note that if you opt out of Google for personalized advertising, you will continue to receive advertising that is less well-suited to your interests / browsing habits.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google").

As part of Google AdWords, we use the so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files that the Internet browser stores on the user's computer. These cookies lose their validity after 60 days and are not used for the personal identification of the users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not expired yet, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of advertisers. The information gathered using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords advertisers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt-out of this by easily disabling the Google Conversion Tracking cookie through its Internet browser under User Preferences. You will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

The storage of "conversion cookies" is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.

For more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, see the Google Privacy Policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

Opjection to data collection

If you have a Google Account, you can disable Google personalized ad serving in your Google's Ads Preferences Manager.

Use of Criteo

This website uses the Criteo service of Criteo SA, Rue Blanche, 75009 Paris, France. With the help of this tool, users who have visited our website before and who have taken an interest in our offers are offered targeted advertisements on websites that also use the Criteo service (re-marketing). The display of this advertising is based on information about the visit of the respective Internet pages, which are stored, among other things, in cookies on your computer. These text files are read out as part of subsequent website visits for targeted product recommendations. For this purpose, a randomly generated identification number is stored in the cookies. Neither this number nor the information about your visits to the website can be assigned to you personally.

The cookie is usually stored for a maximum of one year and is then automatically deleted. You can prevent the storage and use of information by the service of Criteo by clicking on the following link (https://www.criteo.com/privacy/) and afterwards switching the controller at "Opt-Out" to "ON" put. If you select "ON", a new cookie (opt-out cookie) will be set in your browser. This cookie signals to the Criteo service that Criteo may no longer collect and process data about your usage behavior. You can re-enable this function by setting the knob to "OFF". Please note that this setting must be made for each browser you use. If all cookies are deleted in your browser, this also affects the opt-out cookie.

The logo of our partner idealo (idealo internet GmbH, Ritterstraße 11, 10969 Berlin) is integrated on our website. When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the idealo server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called server log file for 7 days. The following information will be collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:

  • IP address of the requesting computer,
  • date and time of access,
  • name and URL of the retrieved file,
  • Website from which access is made (referrer URL),
  • the browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer as well as the name of your access provider.

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website. To do this, the IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session. Storage in log files is done to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, the data is used to optimize the website and to ensure the security of information technology systems. There is no storage of this data together with other personal data. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.

If you visit a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser connects directly to the servers of Facebook, Google, Twitter or Instagram. By integrating the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile or are currently not logged in. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Like" or the "Share" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the provider and stored there. The information will also be posted on the social network and displayed there to your contacts.
