Fotochromisch vizier
Een zelf-vervend vizier is de meest comfortabele manier van effectieve bescherming tegen de zon. 's Werelds grootste fabrikant Transitions heeft dit precies ontwikkeld. Een chemische reactie past permanent de tint van het vizier aan.
Het CWR-1- fotochromische vizier wordt automatisch donkerder, afhankelijk van de intensiteit van het zonlicht (= UV-licht). Dit maakt het mogelijk om zowel bij bewolkt weer, in fel zonlicht als in het donker te rijden zonder je vizier te veranderen.
De "fotochromische" vermindert 100% van de UV-stralen die even schadelijk zijn voor ogen en huid. Dit vizier maakt het een soort van variabele zonnebrandcrème voor de ogen.
Hoe snel dit kan worden gedaan hangt ook af van de temperatuur, want hoe warmer het is, hoe sneller de moleculen kunnen bewegen en dus veranderen. Bij mooi weer duurt het slechts ongeveer 40 seconden van zeer duidelijk tot een maximale tint.
Om dit proces te laten plaatsvinden, veranderen miljarden moleculen hun structuur en donkerder afhankelijk van de UV-stralen. Wanneer de zon afneemt, wordt het vizier automatisch weer duidelijker.
Normale krassen verminderen het zelfvervende vermogen van het vizier niet door extra beschermende lagen. Het vizier mag echter niet permanent ergens in de zon worden achtergelaten wanneer het niet in gebruik is, omdat permanente UV-stralen het vizier na verloop van tijd kunnen beschadigen.
Net als elk ander vizier, kan de "Photochromic" voorzichtig en met de gebruikelijke methoden worden gereinigd.

Photochromic visor
A self-tinting visor is the most comfortable way of effective sun protection. The world's leading manufacturer Transitions has developed exactly this. A chemical reaction permanently adjusts the tint of the visor.
The CWR-1- photochromic visor automatically darkens depending on the intensity of sunlight (= UV light). This makes both possible to ride in cloudy weather, in bright sunlight and in the dark without changing your visor.
The "photochromic" reduces 100% of the UV rays that are equally harmful to eyes and skin. This visor makes it kind of a variable sunscreen for the eyes.
How fast this can be done also depends on the temperature, since the warmer it is, the faster the molecules can move and thus change. In good weather it only takes about 40 seconds from very clear to a maximum tint.
In order for this process to take place, billions of molecules change their structure and darken depending on the UV rays. When the sun decreases, the visor automatically becomes clearer again.
Normal scratches do not reduce the self-tinting ability of the visor due to additional protective layers. However, the visor should not be permanently left somewhere in the sun when not in use, as permanent UV rays can damage the visor over time.
