5 diverse misure di calotta esterna (XXS-S | M | L | XL-XXL | XXXL) rendono l'NXR2 un casco sportivo compatto e leggero con un'ampia gamma di taglie. La sua leggerezza allevia i muscoli del collo, riducendo così l'effetto di affaticamento, sia nell'uso sportivo in pista che nei tour più lunghi.

Le 6 prese di ventilazione e le 4 uscite di scarico dello SHOEI NXR2 sono collegate tramite un sistema di ventilazione ramificato all'interno della calotta del casco e riducono sensibilmente la temperatura interna e l'umidità all'interno del casco. Lo spoiler integrato nella parte posteriore della testa stabilizza il casco alle alte velocità. Il design compatto e aerodinamicamente ottimizzato dello SHOEI NXR2 riduce ulteriormente la resistenza al vento e la tendenza al galleggiamento rispetto ai valori già bassi del modello precedente. Calotta esterna AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix)
La calotta del casco Shoei è una struttura tridimensionale composta da diversi strati di fibre di vetro e fibre organiche - la cosiddetta Advanced Integrated Matrix. Le fibre organiche rinforzano le fibre di vetro e ottimizzano il peso.
La struttura è legata da una resina poliestere insatura e termoindurente. Questa resina acquisisce le proprietà desiderate durante l'indurimento a caldo: elevata elasticità e resistenza. Questa tecnologia consente di ottenere una calotta del casco caratterizzata da un'elevata resistenza e da un peso ridotto.
La calotta del casco AIM è progettata per distribuire le forze che agiscono durante un impatto sulla calotta stessa. La calotta esterna e il nucleo interno possono subire danni, ma la testa del motociclista gode della massima protezione possibile.
Le calotte esterne pesanti e dure non hanno questa proprietà e trasferiscono l'energia dell'impatto all'interno del casco senza ridurla. La calotta esterna può non subire danni, ma il motociclista subisce lesioni alla testa. Questo è particolarmente vero per i caschi progettati per resistere alla penetrazione di oggetti taglienti.
Due fattori determinano il peso percepito di un casco: il peso reale del casco e il peso dinamico causato dalla pressione del vento e dall'accelerazione.
In caso di impatto, il peso reale è decisivo per le forze di accelerazione che agiscono sul collo.
La parte più pesante di un casco è la calotta. Poiché la calotta è anche la parte che viene sottoposta a maggiori sollecitazioni durante una caduta, i requisiti per una calotta leggera sono complessi.
La vasta esperienza di Sooei nella lavorazione di materiali compositi in fibra ha permesso di sviluppare le calotte AIM e AIM+, estremamente resistenti e allo stesso tempo leggere.
Anima in polistirene con diverse densità
Ogni casco Shoei venduto in Europa ha una calotta interna adattata alla forma della testa europea.
La combinazione di più elementi in polistirolo a densità diverse garantisce un efficace assorbimento degli impatti.
- La parte superiore della calotta interna è più morbida rispetto alla parte esterna.
- La parte esterna del guscio interno, relativamente dura, aumenta la capacità di assorbimento in caso di impatto.
Questa tecnologia è stata sviluppata e brevettata da Shoei.
Il polistirolo ha ottime proprietà di assorbimento degli urti. Tuttavia, c'è un inconveniente: se il nucleo di Styrofoam viene compresso da un impatto, si espande di nuovo alle sue dimensioni originali dopo un periodo di tempo considerevole. Sembra intatto, ma non raggiunge le stesse proprietà di assorbimento degli urti di prima.
Questo è anche il motivo per cui Shoei non testa i caschi dopo un incidente. È impossibile valutare se il casco è ancora sicuro.
Comfort e vestibilità
La forma e il materiale delle imbottiture giocano un ruolo importante nel comfort e nella vestibilità del casco.

- La vestibilità del casco influisce sulla tenuta del pilota, soprattutto alle alte velocità.
In passato, questi requisiti erano spesso in contrasto tra loro. Le imbottiture spesse e morbide garantivano un buon comfort, ma il casco non aveva una buona presa alle alte velocità.
Shoei ha adottato un proprio approccio alla progettazione dell'imbottitura. L'anima del casco in polistirolo è modellata intorno alla testa del pilota. Ciò consente di utilizzare imbottiture più sottili. Queste sono prodotte in un processo complesso da diversi strati di schiuma poliuretanica in diverse durezze o da un taglio tridimensionale da un blocco.
Il risultato offre un elevato comfort e una perfetta vestibilità, anche a velocità elevate.
Il sistema di chiusura
Attualmente, Shoei offre due diversi sistemi di chiusura per la mentoniera, a seconda del modello di casco.
Il sistema a doppia D è utilizzato principalmente nei caschi Shoei'"sportivi". Questo sistema è obbligatorio per i caschi da competizione. Offre le maggiori riserve in caso di caduta.
I modelli di casco Shoei più orientati al comfort sono dotati di un sistema Microrat. A differenza della maggior parte degli altri sistemi, il sistema Shoei Microrat è dotato di un meccanismo di chiusura in acciaio inossidabile. Questo garantisce la massima sicurezza oltre al comfort.
Il sistema di visiera Shoei
Tutte le visiere Shoei sono stampate a iniezione in policarbonato. Questo garantisce una visione chiara e priva di distorsioni.
La visiera protegge dai piccoli corpi estranei e assorbe il 99% dei raggi UV.
Le visiere non specchiate hanno un rivestimento antigraffio.
Tutte le visiere attuali sono dotate del sistema Shoei'Q.R.B.P., che permette di cambiarle facilmente senza l'uso di attrezzi.

Its AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix) outer shell, combined with a polystyrene core system composed of several elements of different absorption capacity, provides optimal impact protection.
The CWR-F2 visor, newly developed for the SHOEI NXR2, with a two-dimensional shape, allows a distortion-free and very natural vision. Reinforcements at the upper and lower edge of the visor increase the torsional stiffness, a now centrally mounted locking mechanism prevents the unintentional opening of the visor. It can be changed and adjusted quickly and without tools thanks to a further developed mechanism of the previous model.
The enlarged, anti-fog PINLOCK®EVO lens included with the helmet allows an unobstructed view in a large part of the usable field of vision, even in difficult weather conditions, thanks to the mounting points that are offset far to the rear.
The chin strap with double-D closure is easily adjustable and holds the helmet securely in place.
In an emergency, the cheek pads can be easily removed for gentle helmet removal thanks to the EQRS (Emergency Quick Release System).

5 different outer shell sizes (XXS-S | M | L | XL-XXL | XXXL) make the NXR2 a compact, lightweight sports helmet with a wide range of sizes. Its light weight relieves the neck muscles and thus reduces the fatigue effect, whether in sporting use on the racetrack or on extended tours.
The three-dimensionally contoured head pad, the pre-shaped cheek pads and the chin strap pad are completely removable and washable. Lightly roughened, but soft, quick-drying cover materials reduce friction of the pads on the skin and ensure a comfortable feel.
The redesigned cheek pads allow the helmet to be put on and taken off more easily. With their more voluminous underside, they reduce the wearer's exposure to noise. Head and cheek pads are available in different thicknesses to customize the helmet.
Removable pads in the ear area effectively contribute to noise reduction.
Cutouts in the ear area allow a communication system to be fitted.

The 6 ventilation inlets and 4 exhaust outlets of the SHOEI NXR2 are connected via a branched ventilation system inside the helmet shell and noticeably reduce the interior temperature and humidity inside the helmet. They always ensure a sufficient supply of fresh air for the rider without increasing the noise level.
The result is a pleasant helmet interior climate for a concentrated and fatigue-free ride, both for sporty riding on the race track and for motorcycle trips to warm countries.
The closure sliders of the ventilation inlets are easy to feel even with gloves.
Aerodynamics

The integrated spoiler in the back of the head stabilizes the helmet at higher speeds. The compact and aerodynamically optimized design of the SHOEI NXR2 further reduces its wind resistance and buoyancy tendency compared to the already low values of the previous model. This effectively relieves the rider's neck muscles and reduces the fatigue effect even on longer rides.
Vortex generators on the edges of the visor and a newly developed visor seal minimize noise generation in the visor area.
Accessories
Visors in a variety of different tints and mirror coatings are available for the SHOEI NXR2, which can be used in compliance with ECE homologation guidelines. The helmet is equipped with a clear visor of type CWR-F2 as standard. All visors of this type can be fitted with anti-fog PINLOCK®EVO lenses, one of which is included with the helmet.
In SHOEI's range of accessories, cheek pads and head pads are available in different sizes and thicknesses to replace the original pads or to customize the helmet. Also a chin strap pad, a breath deflector and a chin wind deflector.
Scope of delivery
Included with the SHOEI NXR2 is a PINLOCK®EVO lens for use with the standard CWR-F2 visor and matching replacement pins.
Also included are a breath deflector, chin wind deflector, SHOEI logo stickers, an original SHOEI helmet pouch for gentle storage of the helmet, and silicone oil to care for the visor seal and mechanics.
The helmet manual and the brochure "How to use your helmet properly" provide valuable information on the use, maintenance and care of the SHOEI NXR2.
AIM outer shell (Advanced Integrated Matrix)
The Shoei helmet shell is a three-dimensional structure made of several layers of glass fibers and organic fibers - the so-called Advanced Integrated Matrix. The organic fibers reinforce the glass fibers and optimize weight.
The structure is bonded by an unsaturated, thermosetting polyester resin. This resin acquires its desired properties during heat curing: high elasticity and resistance. This technology allows a helmet shell characterized by high strength with low weight.
The AIM helmet shell is designed to distribute the forces acting during an impact over the helmet shell. The outer shell and inner core may show damage, but the rider's head is afforded the greatest possible protection.
Heavy, hard outer shells do not have this property and transfer the energy of an impact to the inside of the helmet without reduction. The outer shell may be undamaged, but the rider suffers head injuries. This is especially true of helmets designed to resist penetration by sharp objects.
Two factors determine the perceived weight of a helmet: the real weight of the helmet and the dynamic weight caused by wind pressure and acceleration.
In the event of an impact, the real weight is decisive for the acceleration forces acting on the neck.
The heaviest part of a helmet is the helmet shell. Because the helmet shell is also the part that is subjected to the most stress during a fall, the requirements for a lightweight helmet shell are complex.
Shoei's vast experience in processing fiber composites has enabled it to develop the extremely strong yet lightweight AIM and AIM+ helmet shells.
Polystyrene core with different densities
Every Shoei helmet sold in Europe has an inner shell adapted to the European head shape.
The combination of several styrofoam elements in different densities provides effective impact absorption.
- The upper part of the inner shell is softer than the outer part.
- The relatively hard outer part of the inner shell increases the absorption capacity in the event of an impact.
This technology was developed and patented by Shoei.
Styrofoam has very good shock absorption properties. However, there is one drawback: if the Styrofoam core is compressed by an impact, it will expand back to its original size after a considerable amount of time. It looks intact, but by no means achieves the same shock absorption properties as before.
This is also the reason why Shoei does not test helmets after an accident. It is impossible to judge whether the helmet is still safe.
Wearing comfort and fit
The shape and material of the pads play an important role in the comfort and fit of the helmet.
- The material that touches the rider's skin is critical to comfort.
- The fit of the helmet affects how well the helmet holds the rider, especially at high speeds.
In the past, these requirements often played against each other. Thick, soft pads provided good comfort, but the helmet did not have a good grip at high speeds.
Shoei has taken its own approach to designing the padding. The helmet's styrofoam core is molded close around the rider's head. This allows thinner pads to be used. These are produced in a complex process from several layers of polyurethane foam in different hardnesses or by a three-dimensional cut from a block.
The result offers high comfort and a perfect fit, even at high speeds.
The closure system
Currently, Shoei offers two different closure systems for the chin strap, depending on the helmet model.
The double-D system is mainly used in Shoei's "sporty" helmets. This system is mandatory for racing helmets. It offers the greatest reserves in the event of a fall.
Shoei's more comfort-oriented helmet models are equipped with a Microrat system. Unlike most other systems, the Shoei micro-ratchet system has a stainless steel locking mechanism. This ensures maximum safety in addition to comfort.
The Shoei Visor System
All Shoei visors are injection molded from polycarbonate. This guarantees a clear and distortion-free view.
The visor protects against small foreign bodies and absorbs 99% of of UV rays.
The non-mirrored visors have a scratch-resistant coating.
All current visors are equipped with Shoei's Q.R.B.P. system, which allows easy change without tools.
