A standard that verifies the presence and amount of recycled material in fabrics and tracks the flow of raw materials from source to final product. It is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for recycled content certification, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and third-party chemical restrictions. The GRS certificate only applies to fabrics that contain more than 50% recycled fibers. Nooteboom Textiles cares about the environment and is actively participating in the initiative to give yarns a second life.
