Hair sheep leather

In contrast to the wool sheep, the hair sheep is a cross-breed of sheep and goat. It lives only in the mountainous parts of the African continent. The leather is soft and comfortable like that of our wool sheep, but the leather structure is thicker and much more hardwearing.

The picture shows a test between PITTARDS special WR 100 leather (left glove) and normal leather (right glove). Both gloves have been put into chemical sweat for 24 hours. PITTARDS WR 100 hair-sheep-skin is very soft and when compared with cow hide of the same thickness, its resistance to abrasion and tearing is up to 30% higher. Moisture and especially sweat will cause normal leather to go hard, crack and shrink. PITTARDS special leather is resistant to moisture and aggressive sweat. The leather stays soft, firm, and does not shrink.
