Een handschoen met lange manchet met een versterkte leren palm en EXO RISC™ bescherming bij de knokkels, geschikt voor avontuurlijke rijders in koude rijomstandigheden.
De Tyrian bestaat uit elastaan op de rug van de hand en synthetisch nubuck op de palm, met een extra laag die de meest kritieke delen versterkt. Hij is gevoerd, geïsoleerd en voorzien van een waterdicht Raintex-membraan, waardoor hij geschikt is voor koude rijomstandigheden.
Delen van de handpalm en vingers zijn versterkt met thermoplastisch rubber (TPR), dat qua afwerking en flexibiliteit op rubber lijkt en schokken absorbeert. Ethyleenvinylacetaat (EVA) wordt gebruikt bij de duim en heeft vergelijkbare eigenschappen.
EXO RISC™ bescherming is te vinden bij de vingers en de knokkels worden beschermd door een combinatie van EXO RISC™ en schokabsorberend tempeerschuim. Diagonaal onder de knokkelbescherming vind je een band met Macna's 30° Buckle™, waardoor je pols zo vrij mogelijk kan bewegen.
Deze handschoen is voorzien van Macna's Ergothumb™ constructie, wat betekent dat de duim en wijsvinger gemaakt zijn van één en hetzelfde paneel stof. Dit vermindert naden en drukpunten en zorgt voor een kreukvrije look.

Een kunstmatige textielvezel verkregen uit natuurlijke materialen, waaronder cellulose uit verschillende botanische bronnen, met een zijdeachtige textuur, gebruikt als voering in handschoenen om een aangename en comfortabele contactzone te bieden.

Touchscreens domineren de moderne tijd. Smartphones, tablets en nog belangrijker voor ons motorrijders: navigatiesystemen. Het is leuk dat die schermen werken door aanraking, maar dat is niet echt handig als je handschoenen draagt.
Daarom kiest Maca voor warmtegeleidende stof aan de toppen van de wijsvingers. Deze speciale Touch Tips zorgen ervoor dat de warmte van je vinger zijn weg vindt, zodat je touchscreens kunt bedienen zonder je handschoenen uit te hoeven doen.
Schermreiniger&handel;
Er zijn meerdere manieren om vocht op het vizier van je helm tegen te gaan, zoals anti-condens sprays en anti-condens lenzen. Maar wat kun je doen tegen echte regen die je gezichtsveld raakt? Aan het gas draaien en proberen het eraf te laten vliegen?
Er is een veiligere en gebruiksvriendelijke oplossing voor dit probleem, die zich bij de wijsvingers van Macna&rsquo's handschoenen bevindt. Aan beide handen vind je een flexibele Screen Cleaner™ die functioneert als een wisserblad, zodat je hem zowel tijdens het rijden kunt gebruiken als wanneer je stilstaat voor bijvoorbeeld een stoplicht.
Ergothumb™
Rijd lang genoeg en uiteindelijk gaat alles in een ‘onnatuurlijke’ positie pijn doen. In dit geval geeft Macna niet jou de schuld, maar je uitrusting. Traditionele handschoenen zijn gewoonweg niet ontworpen om het stuur vast te pakken en die positie vast te houden, soms urenlang.
Ergothumb™ is een ergonomische constructie die kreuken, drukpunten en pijn voorkomt doordat de duim en wijsvinger uit één en hetzelfde paneel van stof zijn gemaakt. Dit zorgt voor een voorgevormde handschoen die in zijn ‘natuurlijke’positie zit tijdens het rijden.
30° Brace™
Naast een sluiting bij de manchet hebben handschoenen met lange manchetten vaak ook een bandje bij de pols. Deze band is in de meeste gevallen horizontaal geplaatst, wat de handschoen strakker maakt, maar ook de bewegingsvrijheid van je pols beperkt.
Deze klacht is eenvoudig verholpen met de Macna 30° Buckle, waardoor de pols vrijer kan bewegen. De Macna 30° Buckle™ is nu herzien en verstevigd, wat heeft geleid tot een 30° Brace™, in plaats van een buckle 2.0.
EXO RISC™
Om het comfort van Macna’s producten en dus van motorrijders te blijven verbeteren, worden onze ontwerpers voortdurend uitgedaagd. Begin 2021 kregen ze de opdracht om opnieuw te kijken naar het ademend vermogen van protectoren.
Beschermers zijn vaak stevige hoezen die goed beschermen, maar op andere vlakken geen vijf sterren hebben. Omdat ze hard, schokabsorberend en slijtvast zijn, zal een beschermer waarschijnlijk laag scoren als het gaat om ademend vermogen en flexibiliteit.
Het vreemde is dat je lichaam vaak meer dan genoeg wind vangt, dus ademend vermogen hoeft geen probleem te zijn. Maar hoe gaan we een harde hoes buigen? Dit kan wel wat macnaficatie gebruiken.

A long-cuffed glove with a reinforced leather palm and EXO RISC™ protection at the knuckles, suited for adventurous riders in cold riding conditions.
The Tyrian consists of elastane at the back of the hand and synthetic nubuck at the palm, with an extra layer reinforcing the most critical areas. It is lined, insulated, and fitted with a waterproof Raintex membrane, making it suitable for cold riding conditions.
Areas of the palm and fingers are reinforced with thermoplastic rubber (TPR) which is rubber-like in its finish and flexibility and provides impact absorption. Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) is used at the thumb and has similar properties.
EXO RISC™ protection can be found at the fingers and the knuckles are protected by a combination of EXO RISC™ and impact-absorbent temper foam. Diagonally below the knuckle protection you’ll find a strap with Macna's 30° Buckle™, which enables your wrist to move as freely as possible.
This glove features Macna's Ergothumb™ construction, meaning the thumb and index finger are made of one and the same panel of fabric. This reduces seams and pressure points whilst also giving a wrinkle-free look.
Heat-conductive fabric is fitted at the tips of the index fingers. Thanks to the Touch Tip, you’ll be able to operate touch screens without taking your gloves off. On the edge of that same finger Macna fitted a Screen Cleaner™ to let you clear your vision quickly and easily.

An artificial textile fiber obtained from natural materials, including cellulose from a variety of botanical sources, and featuring a silky texture, used as a lining inside gloves in order to offer a pleasant and comfortable contact zone.
Touch Tip
Touch screens dominate the modern day and age. Smartphones, tablets, and even more important for us motorcyclists: navigation systems. It is nice those screens work by touch, but that’s not really helpful when you’re wearing gloves.
That’s why Maca opts for heat-conductive fabric at the tips of the index fingers. These special Touch Tips enable the warmth of your finger to find its way through so that you can operate touch screens without having to take off your gloves.
Screen Cleaner™
There are multiple ways to combat humidity on the visor of your helmet, such as anti-condense sprays and anti-fog lenses. But what can you do against actual rain hitting your field of vision? Twist the throttle and try to make it fly off?
There’s a safer and user-friendly solution to this issue, located at the index fingers of Macna’s gloves. You’ll find a flexible Screen Cleaner™ that functions like a wiper blade at both hands to enable usage when riding as well as when standing still at, for example, a traffic light.
Ergothumb™
Ride long enough and eventually anything in an ‘unnatural’ position will start to hurt. In this case, Macna does'nt blame you, but your gear. Traditional gloves simply aren’t designed to grab the handlebar and maintain that position, sometimes for hours on end.
Ergothumb™ is an ergonomic construction that prevents wrinkling, pressure points, and pain, due to the thumb and index finger being made of one and the same panel of fabric. This creates a preformed glove that’s in its ‘natural’ position when you are riding.
30° Brace™
Aside from a closure at the cuff, long-cuffed gloves often also have a strap at the wrist. This strap is placed horizontally in most cases, which does tighten the glove, but also limits your wrist’s freedom of movement.
This complaint was easily solved by Macna’s 30° Buckle, which enables the wrist to move more freely. The Macna 30° Buckle™ has now been revised and reinforced, which has led to a 30° Brace™, rather than a buckle 2.0.
EXO RISC™
In order to keep improving the comfort of Macna’s products and thus of motorcyclists, our designers are constantly being challenged. At the start of 2021, they were tasked to take another look at breathability of protectors.
Protectors are often sturdy covers that protect very well, but lack a five-star rating in other areas. Being hard, impact-absorbent and abrasion-resistant is likely to make a protector score low when it comes to breathability and flexibility.
Strange thing is; your body often catches more than enough wind, so breathability doesn’t have to be an issue. How are we going to flex a hard cover, though? This could use some macnafication.
