Macna Recon 2.0, handschoenen

Een handschoen met korte manchet met elastisch elastaan en voorgevormde bescherming bij de knokkels en gel bij de palm, geschikt voor rijders in warme rijomstandigheden.
De verbeterde Recon 2.0 bestaat uit elastaan op de rug van de hand en een manchet van zacht, comfortabel neopreen. De palm van de handschoen is gemaakt van synthetisch nubuck, met een extra laag die het meest kritieke deel versterkt, en een gripopdruk voor extra grip.
Macna koos voor hun RISC™ 3D knokkelbescherming gemaakt van temper foam, ook wel memory foam genoemd omdat het na het absorberen van krachten terugkeert naar zijn oorspronkelijke vorm. De buitenkant van de duim en de vingers zijn voorzien van schokabsorberende EVA-bescherming en de palm is voorzien van gelbescherming.
Deze handschoen is voorzien van Macna's Ergothumb™ constructie, wat betekent dat de duim en wijsvinger gemaakt zijn van één en hetzelfde paneel van stof, wat zorgt voor minder naden en drukpunten, terwijl het er ook kreukvrij uitziet.
Warmtegeleidende stof is aangebracht op de toppen van de wijsvingers. Dankzij de Touch Tip kun je touchscreens bedienen zonder je handschoenen uit te doen.

Geborsteld synthetisch leer dat zacht, flexibel en ademend is en eruitziet als echt suède.
Touch Tip
Touchscreens domineren de moderne tijd. Smartphones, tablets en nog belangrijker voor ons motorrijders: navigatiesystemen. Het is leuk dat die schermen werken door aanraking, maar dat is niet echt handig als je handschoenen draagt.
Daarom kiest Maca voor warmtegeleidende stof aan de toppen van de wijsvingers. Deze speciale Touch Tips zorgen ervoor dat de warmte van je vinger zijn weg vindt, zodat je touchscreens kunt bedienen zonder je handschoenen uit te hoeven doen.

EVA Bescherming
R.I.S.C. EVA bescherming bestaat uit rubber schuim onder de buitenkant. Bescherming met EVA padding is flexibel en veerkrachtig omdat het snel herstelt van compressie.
EVA schuim blinkt uit in het absorberen van trillingen en stootkrachten. Het wordt ook gekenmerkt door een goede warmte-isolatie en een lage waterabsorptie.
Andere voordelen zijn de zachtheid, het is niet giftig, het is bestand tegen spanningen en scheuren en het is bestand tegen ultraviolette straling, waardoor EVA voor veel doeleinden geschikt is.
Ergothumb™
Rijd lang genoeg en uiteindelijk gaat alles in een ‘onnatuurlijke’ positie pijn doen. In dit geval geeft Macna niet jou de schuld, maar je uitrusting. Traditionele handschoenen zijn gewoonweg niet ontworpen om het stuur vast te pakken en die positie vast te houden, soms urenlang.
Ergothumb™ is een ergonomische constructie die kreuken, drukpunten en pijn voorkomt doordat de duim en wijsvinger uit één en hetzelfde paneel van stof zijn gemaakt. Dit zorgt voor een voorgevormde handschoen die in zijn ‘natuurlijke’positie zit tijdens het rijden.

A short-cuffed glove with stretchy elastane and preformed protection at the knuckles and gel at the palm, suited for riders in hot riding conditions.
The improved Recon 2.0 consists of elastane at the back of the hand and a cuff made of soft, comfy neoprene. The palm of the glove is made of synthetic nubuck, with an extra layer reinforcing the most critical area, and a grip print to provide additional grip.
Macna opted for their RISC™ 3D knuckle protection made of temper foam, also called memory foam as it’ll return to its original shape after absorbing forces. The outside of the thumb and the fingers are fitted with impact-absorbent EVA protection and the palm features gel protection.
This glove features Macna's Ergothumb™ construction, meaning the thumb and index finger are made of one and the same panel of fabric, which reduces seams and pressure points whilst also giving a wrinkle-free look.
Heat-conductive fabric is fitted at the tips of the index fingers. Thanks to the Touch Tip, you’ll be able to operate touch screens without taking your gloves off.

Touch Tip
Touch screens dominate the modern day and age. Smartphones, tablets, and even more important for us motorcyclists: navigation systems. It is nice those screens work by touch, but that’s not really helpful when you’re wearing gloves.
That’s why Maca opts for heat-conductive fabric at the tips of the index fingers. These special Touch Tips enable the warmth of your finger to find its way through so that you can operate touch screens without having to take off your gloves.

EVA Protection
R.I.S.C. EVA protection consists of rubber foam underneath the outer shell. Protection with EVA padding is flexible and resilient as it recovers quickly from compression.
EVA foam excels in absorbing vibrations and impact forces. It is also characterized by its good thermal insulation as well as low water-absorption.
Other advantages are its softness, non-toxicity, stress-crack resistance and resistance to ultraviolet radiation which makes EVA suitable for many purposes.
Ergothumb™
Ride long enough and eventually anything in an ‘unnatural’ position will start to hurt. In this case, Macna does'nt blame you, but your gear. Traditional gloves simply aren’t designed to grab the handlebar and maintain that position, sometimes for hours on end.
Ergothumb™ is an ergonomic construction that prevents wrinkling, pressure points, and pain, due to the thumb and index finger being made of one and the same panel of fabric. This creates a preformed glove that’s in its ‘natural’ position when you are riding.
