Het GORE-TEX-membraan vormt het hart van GORE-TEX-producten. Het is permanent waterdicht, volledig winddicht en zeer ademend.

Het materiaal heeft meer dan 1,4 miljard microporiën per vierkante centimeter. Deze poriën zijn 20.000 keer kleiner dan een druppel water, maar toch 700 keer groter dan een waterdampmolecuul. Een vetafstotende beschermlaag op het membraan zorgt voor blijvende waterdichtheid en voorkomt dat lichaamsoliën of insectenwerende middelen binnendringen.

GORE-TEX-producten

Hoe het werkt
