Extreem getest, met zo'n 200.000 km en meer dan 60 adventure riders getest op de meest afgelegen locaties ter wereld, van Alaska tot Kroatië, Baja California, Ha Giang tot de Merzouga-woestijn in Marokko - alles om ervoor te zorgen dat elk klein detail perfect is ontworpen voor elk avontuur.
De nieuwe X.WED3 maakt een naadloze overgang mogelijk tussen een off-road/avonturenhelm en een integraalhelm voor op de weg, zonder dat daar gereedschap voor nodig is. Hij biedt ook de flexibiliteit om een off-roadbril te dragen in stoffige omgevingen, waardoor de X.WED 3 een echte allrounder is.
Thoracaal letsel is een van de meest voorkomende verwondingen bij off-road motorrijden. Daarom heeft de schaal van de X.WED3 een unieke vorm met een zachtere en rondere basisrand bij de kin om het risico op borstletsel door frontale botsingen te verminderen.

De nieuwe X-Foam schokdempers van zeer licht EPP schuim zijn ontworpen om de energie van een impact aan beide zijden van de helm en in het kingedeelte te absorberen, waardoor de impactimpuls wordt gedempt en het risico op sleutelbeenbreuken wordt verminderd.
Met zeven afsluitbare luchtinlaten en vier uitlaatopeningen is het complexe ventilatiesysteem van de X.WED3' klaar om zich aan te passen aan alle voorkeuren en weersomstandigheden.
Innovatie stond centraal bij de X.WED3 met de nieuwe Mid Airflow Chamber. Dit nieuwe gepatenteerde systeem is ontworpen om een holte te creëren tussen het binnenste EPS en het buitenste EPS, waardoor frisse lucht onmiddellijk rond het hoofd kan circuleren terwijl de warme lucht ontsnapt via de achterste gaten.
Het nieuwe vizierontwerp bevat NEXX's beproefde Recoil viziersysteem met veerbelaste zijplaten aan de basis die het vizier automatisch naar de dubbele lipafdichting trekken om een perfecte luchtdichte afdichting te garanderen - onafhankelijk van het Peak montagesysteem. De levering omvat Pinlock 120 XLT Max Vision (voor modellen gemaakt van X-PRO-CARBON) en Pinlock 70 (voor modellen gemaakt van X-Matrix2).
Het binnenste zonnescherm van de X.WED3 is 18% groter en reikt tot net boven de neusbrug.
De strategische piekvorm zorgt voor betere prestaties bij hogere snelheden en laat beide luchtstromen door. De 3-traps piekaanpassing en -verwijdering is eenvoudig te realiseren via de nieuwe injectiegegoten metalen en kunststof anti-rotatie montageschroeven. Er wordt ook een schroefloze piekverlenger meegeleverd, ideaal voor rijden bij laagstaande zon.
Het nieuwe anti-vibratie EPS-systeem bevat een speciale rubberen strip tussen het binnenste EPS en het buitenste EPS, waardoor microbewegingen van het binnenste EPS in contact met het hoofd van de gebruiker mogelijk zijn.
Dit helpt de trillingen in de helm te verminderen die worden veroorzaakt door luchtturbulentie bij hogere snelheden. Het resultaat is een veiligere helm met extra stabiliteit in het hoofd en een soepelere en comfortabelere rit.
Eigentijds comfort en zorgvuldig geselecteerde materialen kenmerken elk detail van de voering van de X.WED3'en. De combinatie van synthetisch leer met grote ventilatieroosters en ingewikkelde stiksels springt direct in het oog en creëert een hoogwaardige mix van materialen voor betere ventilatie en isolatie.
Daarnaast zorgen de innovatieve luchtkammen voor een ongeëvenaard niveau van interne ventilatie en comfort. De hoofdvulling van de X.WED3 is genaaid met een speciaal alveolair gaas dat een frisse luchtkamer creëert tussen de EPS-voering en de vulling.
De binnenstoffen zijn gemaakt van zachte X-Mart Dry stoffen die het interieur koel en droog houden.
De nieuwe F.R.S (Fast Release System) voering kenmerkt zich door zijn eenvoud, waardoor beide wangkussentjes tegelijkertijd verwijderd kunnen worden in slechts een paar eenvoudige stappen en zonder inspanning.
Eenvoudig te bereiken en nog eenvoudiger te gebruiken, het F.R.S® waarvoor patent is aangevraagd, is de perfecte oplossing voor het reinigen van de voering, maar het belangrijkste is dat het reddingspersoneel de helm van een gewonde rijder's hoofd kan verwijderen in geval van nood met minimale wrijvingsweerstand.
Hef eenvoudig de rubberen vergrendelarmen op die de rode knoppen aan weerszijden van de helm vergrendelen, schuif de rode knoppen terug en beide wangkussentjes kunnen gemakkelijk volledig worden verwijderd.
Discreet maar met krachtige mogelijkheden, de nieuwe X-COM3 serie kan volledig worden geïntegreerd in de helm, met ingebouwde hoofdtelefoon, batterij, kabelsleuven, microfoon en Bluetooth 5.2 technologie, verkrijgbaar in twee varianten: de X-COM3 Standard, een middenklasse versie met krachtige functies, en de X-COM3 PRO, die 2.0 Mesh technologie biedt evenals andere extra functies en geluid van wereldklasse van Harman Kardon.

The new X.WED3 allows a seamless transition between an off-road/adventure helmet and a full-face road helmet without the need for tools. It also offers the flexibility to wear off-road goggles in dusty environments, making the X.WED 3 a true all-rounder.
Thoracic injuries are among the most common injuries in off-road motorcycling. For this reason, the design of the X.WED3 shell offers a unique shape with a softer and rounder base edge in the chin area to reduce the risk of chest injuries from frontal impacts.
The new X-Foam shock absorbers made of very lightweight EPP foam are designed to absorb impact energy on both sides of the helmet and in the chin area, cushioning the impact impulse and reducing the risk of collarbone fractures.
With seven closable air intakes and four exhaust vents, the X.WED3's complex ventilation system is ready to adapt to all preferences and weather conditions.
Innovation was the main focus of the X.WED3 with the new Mid Airflow Chamber. This new patented system is designed to create a cavity between the inner EPS and the outer EPS, allowing the immediate circulation of fresh air around the head while the hot air escapes through the rear holes.
The new visor design incorporates NEXX's proven Recoil Visor System with spring-loaded base side plates that automatically pull the visor to the double lip window seal to ensure a perfect airtight seal - independent of the Peak mounting system. The scope of delivery includes Pinlock 120 XLT Max Vision (for models made of X-PRO-CARBON) and Pinlock 70 (for models made of X-Matrix2).
The inner sun visor of the X.WED3 is 18% larger and extends to just above the nose bridge.
The strategic peak shape ensures improved performance at higher speeds and allows both airflows to pass through. The 3-stage peak adjustment and removal is easily accomplished via the new injection-molded metal and plastic anti-rotation mounting screws. A screwless peak extender is also included, ideal for riding in low sun.
The new anti-vibration EPS system includes a special rubber strip inserted between the inner EPS and the outer EPS, allowing micro-movements of the inner EPS in contact with the user's head.
This helps to reduce the vibrations in the helmet caused by air turbulence at higher speeds. The result is a safer helmet with added stability in the head and a smoother and more comfortable ride.
Contemporary comfort and carefully selected materials characterize every detail of the X.WED3's lining. The combination of synthetic leather with large ventilation grilles and intricate stitching immediately catches the eye and creates a quality blend of materials for better ventilation and insulation.
In addition, the innovative air combs provide an unparalleled level of internal ventilation and comfort. The head padding of the X.WED3 is sewn with a special alveolar mesh that creates a fresh air chamber between the EPS lining and the padding.
The inner fabrics are made of soft X-Mart Dry fabrics that keep the interior cool and dry.
The new F.R.S (Fast Release System) lining is characterized by its simplicity, allowing both cheek pads to be removed simultaneously in just a few simple steps and with no effort.
Easy to reach and even easier to use, the patent-pending F.R.S® is the perfect solution for cleaning the lining, but most importantly it allows rescue personnel to remove the helmet from an injured rider's head in the event of an emergency with minimal frictional resistance.
Simply lift the rubber locking arms that lock the red buttons on either side of the helmet, slide the red buttons back and both cheek pads can be easily removed completely.
Discreet but with powerful capabilities, the new X-COM3 series can be fully integrated into the helmet, with built-in headphones, battery, cable slots, microphone and Bluetooth 5.2 technology, available in two variants: the X-COM3 Standard, a mid-range version with powerful features, and the X-COM3 PRO, which offers 2.0 Mesh technology as well as other additional features and world-class sound from Harman Kardon.
