Kenmerken

Geavanceerde schaalconstructie: Deze helm is voorzien van een thermisch geïnjecteerde schaal met een speciaal polymeermengsel, versterkt door variërende diktes, die is ontworpen om de optimale combinatie van bescherming tegen schokken en een laag gewicht te bieden. De SM3 Radium-helm in maat medium weegt 1310 gr. (ECE)
Ventilatie: Maximale ventilatie en een hoge warmteafvoer dankzij 10 luchtinlaten en zeven luchtuitlaten.
Lineaire en rotatie-impactbescherming van de binnenschaal: De binnenschaal is vervaardigd uit EPS-materiaal met verschillende dichtheden, zodat de vereiste schokabsorberende eigenschappen precies daar aanwezig zijn waar ze nodig zijn. De EPS-voering heeft, net als de buitenschaal, voor elke helmmaat zijn eigen unieke afmetingen. Specifieke bescherming tegen rotatie-impact wordt geboden door de combinatie van de interne vorm en de specifieke coating van de EPS-voering, in combinatie met een speciaal ontwikkeld oppervlak in de comfortvoering. Deze gepatenteerde technologie vermindert de rotatieversnelling die op het hoofd van de rijder wordt overgebracht.
Vizierontgrendeling: Het gepatenteerde vizierontgrendelingssysteem zorgt ervoor dat het vizier met de juiste, vooraf bepaalde kracht wordt ontgrendeld, waardoor de krachten op de nek van de rijder tijdens een botsing effectief worden verminderd.

Constructie

De binnen- en buitenoppervlakken zijn zo ontworpen dat de effecten van schuine botsingen tot een minimum worden beperkt.
6 EPS/EPP-binnenonderdelen met 5 dichtheden om het volume en de botsprestaties effectief te regelen.
Er zijn drinkbuislussen geïntegreerd in de wangkussens van de helm voor extra gebruiksgemak en betere prestaties.
De pasvorm kan worden aangepast aan het hoofd van de rijder dankzij de kroon en de wangkussens van de helm, die als originele reserveonderdelen in verschillende diktes verkrijgbaar zijn.

Bescherming

Op basis van de ervaring en de verzamelde impactgegevens van Alpinestars zijn zowel de dikte van de schaal als de structuur van het helmontwerp zelf in het kingebied geoptimaliseerd voor superieure impactprestaties.
De binnen- en buitenoppervlakken zijn zo ontworpen dat de effecten van schuine botsingen tot een minimum worden beperkt.
Uitgerust met een Emergency Release System en uitneembare wangkussens, zodat de wangkussens veilig en eenvoudig kunnen worden verwijderd terwijl de helm nog op het hoofd zit, terwijl het 3D-gevormde schuim zorgt voor comfort voor de rijder.
De zachte textielen kinband is 25 mm breed voor optimale veiligheid en comfort voor de rijder.
Roestvrijstalen D-ringen zorgen voor een strakke en veilige pasvorm.
De SM3 Radium-helm voldoet aan de ECE 2206-homologatie

Advanced Shell Construction: This helmet features a thermo-injected shell incorporating a special polymer blend enhanced by varying degrees of thickness that is engineered to deliver the optimal combination of impact protection and lightweight. The medium-size SM3 Radium Helmet weighs 1310 gr. (ECE)
Ventilation: Maximized ventilation and high levels of heat transfer exchange thanks to 10 inlets and seven exhaust ports.
Inner Shell Linear and Rotational Impact Protection: The inner shell is made in multi-density EPS material to permit the required impact absorption properties exactly where they are required. The EPS liner, just like the outer shell, has its own unique dimension for each helmet size. Specific rotational impact protection is provided by the combination of the internal shape and specific coating of the EPS liner, coupled to a specially-developed surface in the comfort liner. This patented technology reduces rotational acceleration transmitted to the rider’s head.
Visor Release: Patented visor release system ensures the visor is released with the correct pre-determined amount of force, effectively reducing the forces on the rider’s neck during an impact.

Construction

The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts.
6 EPS/EPP inner parts with 5 densities to effectively manage volume and impact perfromance.
Hydration tube loops are integrated into the helmet’s cheek pads for convenience and performance.
The fit can be tailored to the rider’s head thanks to the helmet’s crown and cheek pads, which are available as genuine spare parts in different thicknesses.

Protection

Based on Alpinestars’ experience and impact data collection, the shell thickness and the structure of the helmet design itself have both been optimized in the chin area for superior impact performance.
The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts.
Equipped with an Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads to permit the safe and easy removal of the cheek pads while the helmet is still on, while the 3D contoured foam ensures rider comfort.
Soft textile chin strap is 25 mm for optimal safety and rider comfort.
Stainless steel D-rings ensure a tight and secure fit.
The SM3 Radium Helmet conforms to ECE 2206 homologation
