Raintex
La maggior parte dei capi Macna’è dotata di una membrana impermeabile Raintex che impedisce all'acqua piovana di penetrare, consentendo al contempo alle gocce di vapore di farsi strada. Queste membrane vi tengono al riparo sia dal sudore che dall'acqua piovana.
Le membrane Raintex sono incorporate nei capi impermeabili Macna’in modi diversi. Alcuni presentano una membrana fissa, mentre altri sono dotati di una membrana staccabile. The Terra 2.0 is equipped with a waterproof Raintex membrane and made of goat leather that provides breathability, superior hand-feel, and no breaking-in. Its palm is reinforced with synthetic nubuck to ensure a high level of abrasion resistance, and its superb fit can be perfected by velcro at the long cuff and wrist. Water caught between membrane and shell is drained by the Water Exhaust™.
The Water Exhaust™ is incorporated into the wrist strap, which is also fitted with Macna's 30° Buckle to provide optimal freedom of movement at the wrist. This glove features Macna's Ergothumb™ construction, which reduces pressure points to raise comfort and provides a wrinkle-free look. Its Ergopink™ construction provides the same benefits at the pinkie i.e. little finger.
Night Eye™ fabric reflects light and ensures you are seen at night without compromising your look by day. Touchscreens can be operated thanks to the heat-conductive fabric at the tip of the thumb and index finger. This finger is also equipped with a rubber-like extension at the ridge that enables you to wipe rainwater off your visor within a second.

Goat leather
Goat leather is a strong leather with a rough texture. It is flexible, soft and durable.
Synthetic Nubuck
Brushed synthetic leather which is soft, flexible, breathable and has the look of real suede.
Raintex
Much of Macna’s gear is fitted with a waterproof Raintex membrane that prevents rainwater from penetrating whilst enabling vapor drops to make their way through. These membranes keep you free from both sweat and rainwater.
Raintex membranes are incorporated into Macna’s waterproof garments in different ways. Some feature a fixed membrane and others are fitted with a detachable one. There are also jackets with a waterproof liner, which means the waterproof membrane and thermal liner are combined to create a single layer.
Water Exhaust™
Membranes indeed block water, but that doesn’t mean water is unable to penetrate the outer layer. This can cause water to get trapped between outer layer and membrane, resulting in your glove becoming wet, cold, and soggy.
By fitting a garment with a Water Exhaust™, Macna prevents it from getting soaked, cold, and soggy. The Water Exhaust™ drains any excess rainwater that wants to accumulate between the waterproof Raintex membrane and outer layer, causing the garment to dry much faster.
30° Buckle™
Aside from a closure at the cuff, long-cuffed gloves often also have a strap at the wrist. This strap is placed horizontally in most cases, which does tighten the glove, but also limits your wrist’s freedom of movement.
This complaint is easily solved by Macna’s 30° Buckle™, which enables the wrist and hand to move more freely. Thanks to the difference in placement of the buckle, freedom of movement and overall comfort are raised.
Ergothumb™
Ride long enough and eventually anything in an ‘unnatural’ position will start to hurt. In this case, Macna doesn't blame you, but your gear. Traditional gloves simply aren’t designed to grab the handlebar and maintain that position, sometimes for hours on end.
Ergothumb™ is an ergonomic construction that prevents wrinkling, pressure points, and pain, due to the thumb and index finger being made of one and the same panel of fabric. This creates a preformed glove that’s in its ‘natural’ position when you are riding.
Ergopink™
This ergonomic solution was developed after the success of Macna’s Ergothumb™ construction. Now that the hands of riders were comfortable on the inside of the handlebar, Macna shifted their attention to the outside – to the little finger (i.e. pinkie) to be exact.
Ergopink™ refers to Macna’s ergonomic solution at the outside of the hand. By repositioning the seams on the outside of the pinkie finger, they’ve managed to prevent pressure points and increase your comfort at the handlebar even further.
Touch Tip
Touch screens dominate the modern day and age. Smartphones, tablets, and even more important for us motorcyclists: navigation systems. It is nice those screens work by touch, but that’s not really helpful when you’re wearing gloves.
That’s why Maca opts for heat-conductive fabric at the tips of the index fingers. These special Touch Tips enable the warmth of your finger to find its way through so that you can operate touch screens without having to take off your gloves.
Grip Print™
There are almost as many different kinds of handlebars out there as there are gloves. This creates many different combinations regarding the fabrics, materials, and structures. Not all of these combinations work as they should, providing less grip than you would like.
That’s where a Grip Print comes in. This coating in certain areas of the outer layer creates additional friction between the handlebar and the palm of a glove, or between the saddle and the seat of pants, raising your levels of control, safety, and comfort.
Night Eye™
Dark grey by day, luminous at night! The fabric is coated with lots of tiny dishes that reflect light back to its source - in your case, the traffic around you.
