Take a leap forward. Gaze into the future and chase it. Hit the track and ride fast enough to reach time-travel speeds with the Chromiq: the pro-grade 1-piece suit with innovative protection and ventilation. 

The Chromiq is suitable for mild to hot conditions. It consists of premium (perforated) kangaroo and cow leather for (ventilation and) abrasion resistance, dynamic stretch fabric for freedom of movement, and mesh for ventilation. Greasing the leather regularly keeps it in good condition and fairly waterproof. Its liner is made of mesh and fully detachable. 

Brand-new Intair™ ventilation is present at the shoulders. This solid part between neck and outer shoulder protection provides steady intake of air to cool the body where there usually is none. Its Floating Collar™ is made of soft neoprene and doesn’t scratch your neck when moving around. The hump at the back is fitted with a hydration port, and its inner pocket is easily opened thanks to the Quick Access Puller™. The knees are equipped with grips made of rubber-like TPR for improved feel with the bike, and knee sliders are included. 

Knees, shoulders, and elbows are guarded by a patented construction called Armax™ on the outside. On the inside, the Chromiq is equipped with certified (level 2) R.I.S.C.™ protectors at the knees, shoulders, and elbows, and level 1 at the hips. R.I.S.C.™ back and chest protectors are separately available and easily placed in the designated compartments — be sure to check the size table before purchasing any.

Kangaroo Leather

Macna uses premium-quality kangaroo leather to provide a very high level of abrasion resistance in the event of a crash. Kangaroo leather has a very high abrasion resistance.

Cow Leather

Cow leather is a strong and durable leather which retains its shape very well. It is strong, robust and has a fine regular structure.

Dynamic Stretch

Strong and durable double-weave fabric with Aramid yarns. The fabric has 4-way stretch for ease, comfort and a good fit. The fabric is coated, which makes it windproof and water-resistant.

3D Mesh

3D mesh offers a perfect combination of cushioning and good ventilation thanks to its open structure, through which air can circulate very well.

Aeroback™

Just like Quasimodo, a racing suit just isn’t the same without its hump. Macna’s 1-piece leathersuits are fitted with the Aeroback™ hump, which is developed in collaboration with professional athletes in MotoGP, among other competitions.

Macna’s Aeroback™ hump first and foremost protects your spine and neck. Through its shape, the hump also improves aerodynamics and thus makes you faster. In some models, the Aeroback™ is prepared for a hydration bladder.

Hydration Port

During an intense workout, like a track session, you need to stay hydrated – if possible, without taking your hands off the handlebars. Because racing suits fit as tightly as possible, there’s only one place to go: the hump.

Some of Macna’s suits that feature the Aeroback™ hump are prepared to fit a hydration bladder inside. The nozzle of the bladder can be lead over the left or right shoulder. Keep an eye out for the Hydration Port indication at the top of the hump.

Floating Collar™

When shifting your bodyweight around the bike or when diving for the apex, you often feel the collar of your suit being pressed against your neck or throat. Ride around like this long enough and you’ll look like you’re suffering from a serious rash, not to mention the irritation you feel on your skin.

By using neoprene fabric, Macna’s Floating Collar™ provides a soft fit and feel to it. In contrast to traditional scratchy collars, the Floating Collar™ prevents pressure points around the neck and raises your comfort.

TPR Knee Grips™

Grip pads at the inside of the knees enable you to grab hold of your tank when engaging corners. The grips are made of TPR, sturdy enough to provide grip yet soft enough to prevent scratches to your tank.

R.I.S.C.™ Back Protector

You won’t find chest and back protectors in Macna’s garments – with exception of protective jackets such as the Korus and Whizzar – but they are separately available should you fancy extra protection. Make sure to check out the size table if you’re thinking about purchasing a Level 2 back protector.

R.I.S.C.™ Chest Protector

This unique protector is only available in Level 1 and consists of two separate pieces that automatically interlock after placing them in the designated compartments of your Macna jacket and zipping up.

R.I.S.C.™ Protectors

A garment can be fitted with Level 1 or Level 2 protectors, depending on which segment you’re going for. Level 2 protectors are thicker and heavier than Level 1, but in turn they provide better protection. Both levels of RISC protectors are interchangeable and separately available, so you can easily scale down or up if you’d like to.

Armax™

In order to keep improving the safety of Macna’s products and thus of motorcyclists, their designers are constantly being challenged. In this case, they were tasked to find and revise the notorious weakest link during a crash. 

After analysing hundreds of suits and gloves caught in high-speed crashes, low speed crashes, high siders and low siders, the weakest link turned out to be anything but surprising: the seams. 

What did surprise; seams can be found in all major impact zones like elbows, knees, and shoulders. Has the industry been holding things together with a piece of string? Yikes! This could use some macnafication.

Armax™ shoulder protector

To protect the shoulder, a tough solid baseplate made of nylon reinforced with fiber glass is fixed in the shoulder. A hard abrasion resistant cover is then mounted on top of the baseplate, keeping everything lock-tight in place. Providing you protection and abrasion resistance, these shoulder protectors are solid as a rock. They add safety and durability by covering the seams on critical spots. The clean Armax™ design never made safety looking better.
