Absolut TOP!!!

A Great Companion Pant to the Carese II Jacket

Please read my jacket review for my sizing information. I picked this pant to go with my Carese II jacket and I am quite happy with the fit of the pant, as it closely fits my legs without being too snug. The pants do not feel bulky like my old Joe Rocket gear did. The knees do not seem to have enough upward adjustability: I would have liked them a touch higher. On the bike (I ride a Honda VFR 800) the knee armor is exactly where it should be, but with my leg straight, it hangs just a tiny bit too low, and I feel its presence when I am walking. My other complaint is that the foot opening is too small and the base layer opening is hard to do as the top layer does not open completely but simply flares out. If you search a product video, you will understand what I mean. I noticed this problem before I bought the pants, so I knew what I was getting, but it is annoying just the same, and it makes entry and exit from the pants a bit of a chore. Still it is something I can live with, as I tend to ride long days and stay in the pants all day, while the jacket comes on and off throughout the day. The last complaint I have is with the upgraded hip armor (I went with the SasTec green upgrades: SAS-TEC SP-2/20 11018371-001 for the hips, Held SAKARI, Rückenprotektor 11026868-001 for the back / coccyx protection). The green hip armor parts fit the same as the foam originals, but the \\\"arms\\\" of the plates want to fold inwards at first opportunity, which then protrudes into my body. It seems to happen if I handle the pants excessively when I am not wearing them. I am hoping that some extra velcro tabs installed into the pocket may prevent future occurrences. All in all, it is a great fitting pant with good ventilation, lots of pockets, and great comfort for riding. I especially like the soft leather panels that grip on the insides of the leg and seat. This is perfect for spirited rides on the VFR on a twisty road!
